Ronald McDonald House
Family Appeal 2018
At Ronald McDonald House South Island, we know that when a family has a child in hospital, being together matters.
That is why it was amazing to see more than 1000 collectors hit the streets across the South Island on Friday May 11, and so many individuals donate to support families.
Small change certainly made a big difference; the Family Appeal raised over $240,000 nationally. This is an incredible effort from good sorts from across New Zealand.
Ronald McDonald House South Island Fundraising Advisor and Appeal Coordinator Jemma Balmer say it was humbling to have over 60 schools and early childhood centres hold mufti days to raise funds as part of the Appeal, as well as many businesses who hosted buckets and held #FlashbackFriday retro dress up days in their workplace.
“It was incredible to see how many schools, community groups and businesses had a personal connection to our organisation and were willing to do anything to lend a hand.”
Special thanks must also go to our wonderful Area Coordinators and national partners McDonalds, Ray White and ASB.
Bring on 2019!
