Supper Club Superstars
Supper Club superstars Rachel and Sian have been helping bring together major fundraising events for over 5 years!
These two are regulars in the office with both of them donating their time every Tuesday. The initial drive to volunteer came after they attended different fundraising events for the House.
Sian says she “Instantly felt a connection with the people and the whole concept” after attending Supper Club in 2014.
After attending the M Factor Fashion Show Rachel knew she wanted to be involved.
Since then she says that her awareness of the charity has increased.
“I knew it would take a lot of organisation to run the house but was surprised at how small the team actually is. It is not just a charity but a real family environment and the interaction between the staff and families is amazing.”
Both Rachel and Sian are key pieces of the major event puzzle. Sian offers up her skills to produce the marketing material and Rachel always on board to assist our Partnership and Event Manager.
“I would say that no matter how much or how little time you had to give it is always gratefully received. Perhaps you could cook dinner for the families one night or become a collector. Or you might have a service you can provide like me,” says Sian.
“They genuinely care about their guests and will do anything to make their stay easier – any knowledge shared – any need is attended to with love.”
