Fundraising Advisor Regan De Burgh gives the lowdown on what's happening in the fundraising space and how you can get involved
Welcome to 2020! This year is set to be action-packed and we are so fortunate to have such wonderful community support to help with our fundraising for the House.
Planning is underway for the Annual Appeal which will take place on Friday 8, May. This is a huge undertaking as we have sites all over the South Island and require hundreds of volunteers
collecting us on that day.
It is said, ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ and for Ronald McDonald House South Island that is so true. We rely on the generosity of our community to enable us to continue to support the many families who stay at the Christchurch House or Invercargill Family Room.
Whether you’re an individual, school or a community group, there are so many ways to fundraise for Ronald McDonald House South Island, and we can help you out with posters, banners,
and donation buckets.

Volunteers wanted
This is our major fundraising event and is a fun and easy way to give back and support Ronald McDonald House South Island.
We are looking for individuals, schools, businesses and community groups who could spare a couple of hours (or more!) to collect on our behalf. We would love it if you could help!

Hold a Fundraising Event
If you are a school, playgroup, daycare centre, workplace or community group, you can support our Annual Appeal by holding a mufti day or other fundraising event. By registering your event here, we will send you out posters, social media tiles, email headers and other collateral for you to use in your school newsletters, noticeboard and in your community.
Book a Speaker or a House Tour
We love what we do here at Ronald McDonald House South Island, and sharing that with the community is important to us.
If you are a community group, school or business, and want to learn about what we do, we are more than happy to come and speak at your event, or have you come to the Christchurch House or Southland Hospital Family Room to have a tour.
