The Ray White Home & Garden Invercargill Tour

  • This event has passed.

Approximately 10 of Invercargill’s most prestigious private homes will once again be on show for one day only as part of the Ray White Home and Garden Invercargill Tour in support of the Ronald McDonald Family Room, Southland Hospital.

During the event on Saturday 29 February 2020, ticket holders will be able to view an eclectic mix of homes including an amazing million dollar mansion, a much-anticipated church conversion and a funky new build, to name just a few.

In 2014, Ray White along with Kids South hosted the first Home and Garden tour which raised more than $50,000 for the then newly created Ronald McDonald Family Room, Southland Hospital.

Since then, demand for the event to continue has been high.

Event coordinator Jackie McKenna from Ray White says the last tour was amazing and now was the time to do it again.

“It’s been 5 years but people are still asking when we are doing it again.  The timing is right, and we believe we can up the ante and not only improve on the last tour but also raise much-needed funds for this impressive charity that helps Southlanders when they really need it the most.”

She says locals will really love the hand-picked homes the Ray White team have come up with.

“These are the homes that you’ve heard about – the ones with that WOW factor, the ones you’ve gone past and wondered – man, I wish I could just take a peek in there and see what it’s like.”

“We were blown away with the response of homeowners.  It was so positive. Many remembered the last tour and jumped at the chance.  These people are truly the heroes of the piece.”

Ms McKenna said the main drawcard that got owners interested was they realised we were doing this to support a really worthwhile community cause – The Ronald McDonald Family Room, Southland Hospital in Invercargill.”

All profits raised from the day go back to the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Southland Hospital and helping Southland families.

“It means kids getting care at the Southland Hospital get to have their families around them when they need them the most.  This event is all about raising funds to help run the Family Room and the more tickets we sell, the more we can help out! Last time we raised $50,000, this time we hope to smash that.”
