Money Box Host

Money Box hosts are an important part of our fundraising community. Here, Rebecca Excell from the Winton Night ‘n Day, shares her story – she has recently put a Money Box on their store counter.

“I had heard of Ronald McDonald House South Island but to be honest, did not know the extent of the awesome work they do. We were so lucky to be able to stay at the House as a family.  The team made us feel at home, provided meals, and were always willing to help us out where they could. The whole experience was amazing; we were so well looked after. Staying there definitely felt like a home away from home.

“After that, becoming a Money Box host was the least we could do! Taking the Money Box back to our home town was a small gesture of our gratitude. It’s amazing to see the generous people that pop their loose change in there. We say it a lot, but we mean it – a little can go a long way. I would really encourage other businesses to become Money Box hosts; it is something small we can do but the impact is huge.”
