Every day, up to thirty families will walk through our doors in Christchurch or Southland, needing accommodation, care and support as their child receives treatment in hospital.
In order to provide whānau with a home away from home, we need financial support.
It costs around $1000 a week to look after a family – this makes sure that our facilities are warm, clean and safe.
You can support Ronald McDonald House South Island in our mission of keeping families together by donating now.

Alliance Group is pleased to be an official partner of Ronald McDonald House South Island, and proud to play a key role in the charity’s annual Supper Club events.
When looking for a sponsorship partnership Alliance Group couldn’t look past Ronald MacDonald House South Island (RMHSI). The values we hold across the business are directly displayed by the daily operations of RMHSI.
We have said many times it is our people that make the difference, for many of our people who live in isolated communities, they have used the RMHSI facilities, making this more than just a partnership for us.
“By being a part of the journey with Ronald MacDonald House, they have joined the Alliance whanau, so we want them to know we are here for them, we are a part of the team and we are alongside them to get a great result”.
This year during July and August we are encouraging people to “Host a Roast”. This is where people are encouraged to host a roast, brunch, or lunch and invite friends and colleagues to attend for a $20 donation to support RMHSI’s family programmes.

“Our support of Ronald McDonald House South Island aligns with Corcoran French’s core values of playing our part in our community and helping out where we can.
It’s great to know, as a firm, that we are contributing to the wonderful work done by the Ronald McDonald House South Island team and supporting kids in accessing the medical treatment that they need.
We have a sense of pride and joy in knowing that the work we do, in turn, helps to get kids where they need to be with their families, at such a tough time in their lives. We also really enjoy it. Helping out in other ways, like cooking dinner for the families and fundraising is a lot of fun and a great way of getting our staff together.
My advice to those who are considering supporting Ronald McDonald House South Island would be to take a trip down to Cashel St and see first-hand where your contribution would go. It’s impossible not leave feeling uplifted and motivated to make sure the doors of Ronald McDonald House South Island stay open.”
Geraldine Biggs, Senior Associate, Corcoran French
“Miles Toyota is proud to have sponsored Ronald McDonald House South Island right from day one. Amongst other activities, over our 16 years of sponsorship we have provided the RMHSI team with a Toyota vehicle to help them carry out their work, participated in street appeals, and proudly hosted the celebration of their 10-year anniversary in 2013.
Every year we continue to show our support through monthly employee volunteer days, weekly employee donations matched dollar-for-dollar by the company, plus additional dealership fundraising efforts. To partner with an organisation like Ronald McDonald House is especially important to us, as our efforts enable them to continue to provide the vital care and support to children and their families in a very difficult time.
There is a high chance that you or one of your staff, knows someone who has needed, or will need the service of Ronald McDonald House, something that would not be available without the support from the wider community. You decide the support from a financial perspective, but the return from associating with a charity like Ronald McDonald House South Island you can’t put a price on. Make the most of the opportunities for your staff to volunteer within the House; it will be a truly humbling and rewarding experience.“
Mark Mills, CEO, Miles Toyota

There are so many ways to support Ronald McDonald House South Island, so whether you’re a big company or small, everyone can contribute in some way. Employees look to companies now who support charities and give them something to be proud of.
We love giving back to our local community and what better way then supporting RMHSI? It connects us with the wider community and is a significant source of pride for our salespeople, being able to help a very important home in our area that assists families from all over the South Island.”
Jane Meyer, South Island Business Performance Manager, Ray White
